The Airbus Foundation Little Engineer program is the successful result of the partnership between Airbus Foundation and The Little Engineer organization and over 25,000 students have taken part in the program, which has been operated in more than 12 countries from the beginning from the UK, France, Spain, Germany, Australia, Morocco, Egypt, UAE, KSA, India, Sri Lanka, Ethiopia, Lebanon, Kuwait, Bahrain, Kenya, Nigeria, Botswana, Singapore, Malawi, to South Africa, and more. This program has been running since 2012 and aims to inspire youth across the Middle East and Africa region through STEM activities and to develop key soft skills that help them in their future.
In the same way, The Little Engineer is dedicated to educating young minds and increasing public understanding and appreciation of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics through interactive tailored programs. Since its inception as a personal initiative, TLE has positioned itself as a scientific foundation enlightening and empowering youth in the areas of science and technologies with a focus on Robotics, Renewable Energy, and Environmental related sciences delivered in an easy yet very effective method with a concept of bridging the gap between theory and practice & schools and universities.
As a winner of MIT, Cartier Women Initiative & other international prizes, awards and recognitions, The Little Engineer is an initiative introduced to provide its students with a hands-on experience in selected scientific topics. The Little Engineer is therefore, positioned as a serious scientific foundation geared towards becoming a recognized pre-engineering school in the areas of Robotics & Renewable Energy Sciences. TLE focuses on educating young minds and trying to raise public awareness and appreciation of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics through interactive tailored programs which resulted in creating The Little Engineer Curriculum. The Little Engineer’s educational approach through Edutainment and Hand-on-Experience helps its students to a) unleash their scientific skills potential and b) meet the challenges of the future society – a future where innovation, originality, and the ability to work with others will be a key competitive feature
The Airbus Little Engineer A380 Assembly Workshop is a robotic workshop offered by Airbus Foundation for learners aged 12+ in the MENA region and now in Africa, to instill in youth the passion for Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
This workshop aims to introduce the students to the world of robotics and the aviation industry. The students will be acquainted with the A380 Airplane covering its development from the manufacturing phase in different countries to its final assembly in Toulouse or Hamburg.
The Airbus Little Engineer Space Workshop is a robotic workshop offered by Airbus Foundation for learners aged 11+ in the MENA region and now in Africa, to instill in youth the passion for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), as well as space and the industry behind the space.
This workshop aims to introduce the students to the world of robotics generally and especially the space industry. The students will be acquainted with the Arianne 5 rocket covering its design, and abilities. This workshop will explain the whys and the hows of reaching Mars using top notch technologies in power, telecom and space rockets.
The Airbus Little Engineer Online Program is a 3D Modelling program offered by Airbus Foundation for learners aged 10+ in the MENA region, Africa and Asia to instill in youth the passion of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). This program aims to introduce students to the aerospace industries and the role of 3D Modelling and Printing in both fields. This program will lead the participants to Airbus Discovery Space platform to learn more about space and aviation, and to participate in the Moon Camp Challenge launched by the European Space Agency and Airbus Foundation in partnership with Autodesk.
